One of the problems with being a children’s author is that my readers grow up. And yes, I want them to “outgrow” my books. As it’s important for them to grow up, I need to grow as a writer, too. My six books of middle grade historical fiction have been successful, but I took on a new challenge in writing my first adult historical novel. THE VISCOUNT’S DAUGHTER was published August 10.
